3rd – Cope ahead
Figure out what emotional situations might be coming your way. You could even make a list of them. You can about what coping skills or strategies you want to take before the situation happens. You can prepare yourself for how to ease yourself out of emotion mind. Do you have your Distress Tolerance box ready? Do you have someone you can call? Rehearse in your mind what you will do. Tape up a note to remind you that you can get through every emotional situation because you are building your resilience skills.
