2nd – Get better
As you add more positive experiences to your life in a deliberate way, you’ll get better at it. You’ll build mastery. Having that first positive experience might have been significant effort, but every experience after that will get easier. Try difficult things and don’t worry about failure: plan for success. And then make sure to pay attention to what worked and what didn’t. You build mastery in this way; you get better in this way. But don’t try to climb Mount Everest all at once. Give yourself challenges that are a stretch but not so much of a stretch that you have no hope of succeeding. Give yourself a chance to succeed.
